01. How far in advance should I inquire about a commission?

Shop Page

Most clients confirm their sessions at least 4–6 weeks in advance to allow time for location scouting, schedule coordination, and preparation. For more complex projects, such as multi-day archival commissions or productions involving a full team, I recommend booking 2–3 months ahead. Last minute inquiries are possible when my schedule allows.

02. Do you accept assignments outside of France and Italy?

View Services

Yes. I work throughout Europe and occasionally beyond, depending on the scope and timeline of the project. Travel arrangements, permits, and any additional production requirements will be factored into the final proposal.

03. Is it possible to propose a specific location, subject, or setting?

Learn More

Absolutely. Many of my sessions are built around places that hold personal or narrative significance for the client. Whether it’s a private residence, a studio, or a public landmark, I’ll work with you to assess feasibility, permissions, and how best to capture the space in line with the project’s visual direction.

04. What determines the final investment?

Contact Us

Pricing is shaped by several factors: the scope of work, number of shooting days, production requirements, travel, post-production complexity, and licensing needs. Each commission is quoted individually after an initial consultation so you have a clear, tailored proposal before confirming.

05. What type of visual work do you deliver after the session?

Learn More

Depending on the service, you may receive a curated gallery of high resolution still images, cinematic motion clips, or a combination of both. All final work is professionally edited and prepared for the agreed-upon usage whether for personal archives, portfolio development, publication, or campaign launch.

06. Do you work with both analog and digital formats?

Learn More

Yes. I shoot on both 35mm and medium-format film as well as high-resolution digital systems. The choice depends on the aesthetic direction and technical needs of the project. Many sessions combine both to capture a balance of texture, tone, and precision.

07.  Is there any preparation required on my part before we begin?

Learn More

Once your session is confirmed, I’ll provide a preparation guide tailored to your commission. This may include wardrobe notes, location considerations, mood references, and any styling or production details we’ve agreed on. For larger projects, we’ll hold a preproduction call to ensure every element is aligned before the shoot.

08. Can the session be tailored to a project, campaign, or exhibition brief?

Learn More

Yes. I frequently work with artists, brands, and publications to create imagery that aligns with specific creative briefs. Whether it’s a full campaign rollout or a single key visual for an exhibition, I adapt my process to your goals while maintaining the cinematic, archival quality of my work.

09. Will I receive licensing rights for press or publication?

Learn More

Licensing terms are agreed upon before the session begins and tailored to your intended usage. Press and publication rights can be included in your commission or licensed separately. You’ll receive written confirmation outlining exactly how and where the images or clips may be used.

10. How is your approach different from traditional commercial photography?

Learn More

My work blends the precision of editorial production with the intimacy of personal documentation. Every session is approached like a film still carefully directed yet grounded in real moments. I focus on creating images and motion that feel timeless, intentional, and alive within their frame.

The right image doesn’t just document it distills. It holds a truth that memory alone can’t recall.
Roux approaches every commission as a director does a film: with vision, structure, and precision.
Each frame is built to last. Each session is shaped to reflect not only who you are but who you’ll remember yourself to be.

We accept a limited number of private commissions per season.
